LTWFC Ladies Wellbeing sessions ..

Here at Luton Town WFC Ladies we don't just play footie! We're also engaged with empowering our members through workshops and activities designed to provide some self care, pampering and health education off the field as well. After all the better your frame of mind, the more at ease you are with your own self awareness and health and the more likely you are to stay fit, active and kicking those footballs... this event with Fiona from the Yoga Vine, was held on 31st March 2026 and is our third well being event.

Yoga

So, what is yoga?

Yoga is a holistic practice that originated in ancient India, combining physical postures, breathing techniques, and mindfulness to promote overall well-being. As a form of exercise, it improves flexibility, strength, balance, and posture while being gentle on the joints.

Beyond the physical benefits, yoga also supports mental health by reducing stress, enhancing relaxation, and improving focus through controlled breathing and meditation. Regular practice can help boost energy levels, improve sleep quality, and contribute to a greater sense of calm and emotional balance.

Yoga isn't just for women!

Ryan Giggs would most definitely agree! While it's true that women are more likely to practice yoga, it's a practice for everyone, regardless of gender. Men can reap the same benefits as women, including increased strength, flexibility, and stress relief.

Benefits for all

  • Boosts overall energy and well-being
  • Can be adapted for all fitness levels and abilities
  • Helps with injury prevention and recovery
  • Promotes better sleep and relaxation

The Yoga Vine, provides personal guidance for all levels of practice according to the body’s needs.

  • Yoga therapy targets your needs specifically to reduce the symptoms
  • Yoga therapy sessions are tailored according to the needs of each person
  • Yoga therapy sessions are personalised one-2-one, not a class environment
  • Yoga therapy serves as a means to manage the illness, or facilitate healing
